We now have a courtesy car. There is a sign-out sheet in the terminal, in the room between the lobby and the conference room.
Rental cars are available from Hertz car rental. Advance reservations suggested. Call Scheer Motors in Grayling, 989-348-5451, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday. Be sure to discuss any needs you have outside normal business hours or on weekends.
Another source of rental cars is Enterprise in Gaylord, about 25 miles north. They provide pickup and dropoff service for a combined cost of $50. Their local number is (989) 731-9726, which is a local call from the terminal building.
There is no taxi service in Grayling, but Chippewa Cab in Gaylord (30 miles north) will come down to provide service for you on a 24/7/365 basis, no distance limits. There is a $20 surcharge unless you are going to Gaylord. 989-732-1238. http://www.chippewacab.com .
There is a county-wide bus service for rides on demand. Call Dial-A-Ride 989-348-5409. They operate between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday-Friday, except holidays. Fare is $1.00 one way for adult, $0.50 one way for teens, children, and disabled persons. Response time is stated to be less than thirty minutes.
