The Crawford County Area

Grayling is the only incorporated city in Crawford County and has the greatest concentration of restaurants, lodging and shopping.  However, restaurants, stores and other lodging, such as fishing lodges, private cabins and a golf resort can be found throughout the county.   

You can fly into the Crawford County Air Terminal and fully participate in all the area activities.  Rentals are available for snowmobiles, ORVs, cross country and downhill skis, canoes, kayaks, bicycles, and just about anything else you could need.  Trout fishing is popular on the AuSable and Manistee rivers, with guide services available.  Two fine golf courses are located within a ten minute drive from the airport. Visiting historic attractions, endangered Kirtland’s Warbler tours, hunting, lake fishing and hiking are other popular activities.
